Please read these terms carefully before engaging Micro Excavation QLD for any services.
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of excavation and related services by Micro Excavation QLD (ABN: 52 601 981 674), operated by Mick, based in Bridgeman Downs, Queensland, Australia. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Services
Micro Excavation QLD provides residential excavation services including but not limited to:
- Retaining wall construction (pine timber and concrete sleeper)
- Driveway excavation and site preparation
- Ground levelling and land grading
- Footing excavation and drainage installation
- Artificial turf base preparation
- General residential excavation and earthworks
All services are subject to a site assessment and written or verbal quote prior to commencement. We reserve the right to decline any job that is outside our scope of capability or deemed unsafe.
3. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided are free and no-obligation unless otherwise stated. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing is based on the scope of work agreed upon at the time of booking.
Additional charges may apply if:
- The scope of work changes after commencement
- Unexpected site conditions are encountered (e.g. rock, buried debris, roots)
- Access to the site is more difficult than described at the time of quoting
- Additional spoil removal is required beyond what was quoted
Any variations to the original quote will be discussed and agreed upon with the client before additional work proceeds.
4. Booking and Scheduling
Bookings are confirmed once a deposit or verbal agreement has been made. We will provide an estimated start date, however scheduling is subject to weather conditions, prior job completions, and equipment availability.
We will provide reasonable notice of any delays or rescheduling. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control including adverse weather, equipment breakdowns, or site access issues.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless a separate payment arrangement has been agreed in writing prior to commencement. We accept payment via:
- Bank transfer (EFT)
- Cash
- Other methods as agreed
For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work commences. Late payment may incur interest charges in accordance with Queensland law. We reserve the right to pursue outstanding payments through debt collection or legal proceedings if necessary.
6. Client Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the site, including access conditions, underground services, and any known hazards
- Ensure that the work area is clear and accessible on the agreed start date
- Notify us of any underground services (water, gas, electrical, telecommunications) before work commences — you can call Dial Before You Dig on 1100
- Obtain any required council approvals or permits before work begins
- Ensure pets and children are kept away from the work area during excavation
We are not liable for any damage caused by undisclosed underground services or structures that were not identified prior to commencement.
7. Insurance and Liability
Micro Excavation QLD holds public liability insurance for residential excavation work. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage to property, structures, or underground services
- Damage caused by information not disclosed by the client
- Indirect or consequential loss arising from our services
- Damage caused by events outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Cancellations
We request at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover mobilisation costs already incurred. Any deposit paid may be forfeited if reasonable notice is not provided.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services re-supplied if they fail to be of acceptable quality.
10. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute regarding our services, please contact us directly in the first instance. We will work to resolve any issues promptly and fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or another appropriate dispute resolution body.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website at microexcavationqld.com/terms-and-conditions. Continued engagement of our services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
